The grapvine is:
- nourished by the chalky Charente soil,
- situated between the ocean and the continent,
- bathed in the fine, particulary-Charentais sunshine associated with its warm and humid microclimate and ocean breezes,
- expresses all the authenticity of the Charentais "terroir".
